Is it ironic that this happened in Texas?

It seems fitting that the gun-wielder shot himself in the ass. Unfortunately, two innocent people were also injured.
Maybe guns aren’t funny after all.

I’m wondering just how one mistakes his gun for a wallet. “Sorry Officer, I didn’t know my wallet was loaded.” It is unfortunate that two innocent bystanders were injured by his negligence (stupidity).

I wondered the same thing. I can’t imagine that the weights, textures or shapes would be at all similar.

This is a tough call. A gun nut shooting himself in the ass in a Wal-Mart is really fucking funny. It’s so fucking funny that it might offset a couple of innocent bystander getting injured by some fragments of floor tile as long as the injuries weren’t too serious. After all, that’s a priceless story that the kid is going to be able to tell for the rest of his/her life whenever the question of his/her earliest memory comes up.

My first reaction, before I learned that two other people had been injured, was that it was funny.

It’s not really ironic if it’s expected.
As far as the story goes, hopefully, the kid isn’t too shaken up about it.

I guess I would have expected it more in Texas than, say, Massachusetts. I hope the kid will be okay too.

How did someone as irresponsible as that get a conceal carry permit? Do they have those in bubble gum machines in Texas?

In Texas, it is easier to get a concealed carry permit than to get a voter ID.

Maybe the gun machines are wedged between the bubble gum and soda machines…

But if the child had been armed too…
The problem, of course, is that the reports are suggesting this was a Democrat gun nut, in which case the logical answer, to the vast majority of gun nuts will be, “Only Republican gun nuts can be trusted to be armed.”
Well, again, if not for the unfortunate fact that this person was, supposedly, a Democrat, there is a simple solution to that. If you have a carry permit, you get to shoot out the ballot marks… uh, I mean use the carry permit as an ID for voting. lol Heh, its only a matter of time, given the stupid BS being pulled in the voting regs every place…

I got a newsletter from my state delegate today in which I read that Virginia is one of those states in which a concealed weapons permit is, indeed, an acceptable form of voter ID.

Like Kagehi, I’m just disappointed there were not multiple people “carrying” in that checkout line!!! Is Texas getting soft? He should not have gotten twenty feet, andf there should have been at least five other people injured from the cross fire by armed patriots!
