Six Things Meme
(((Billy))) has tagged me with the Six Things Meme.
These are the rules:
1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Write six random, arbitrary things about yourself.
4. Tag six people at the end of your post and link to them.
5. Let each person know they’ve been tagged and leave a comment on their blog.
6. Let the tagger know when your entry is up.
Okay. I’ve complied with rules 1 & 2, so it’s time to move on to rule 3:
1. I love dark chocolate. Brownies are good too, with or without nuts, and with lots of icing.
2. I know that Daniel Craig is the best James Bond ever; Pierce Brosnan was a decent runner up.
3. My favorite meal is veal parmigiana, spaghetti and chianti.
4. My current favorite fictional character is Barbara Havers; Thomas Lynley is pretty good too.
5. My favorite wine is champagne.
6. My favorite jazz albums are Kind of Blue and Standard Time #3: The Resolution of Romance.
In accordance with rule 4, I am tagging the following people:
1. Aphrodite
2. DB
3. Brian
4. Eshu
5. Heather
6. OG
If I haven’t tagged you and you want to play too, you may post your responses at your blogs, or in the comments thread to this post. In the meantime, I’ve got to cruise the atheosphere and let people know that I’ve completed the meme and tagged them.

You and Poodles are fast women. I mean, you are fast, not, you know, fast. I mean . . .
It took me a couple of days to respond. Ya’ll needed one evening. I’m impressed.
You and Poodles are fast women. I mean, you are fast, not, you know, fast. I mean . . .
(((Billy))) – how often does (((wife))) have to remind you to quite babbling before you dig yourself into a deeper hole?
(((Wife))) has, I think, given up on stopping me from opening my foot and inserting my mouth.
I got some dark chocolate walnut fudge at the Autumn Leaf Festival out in Clarion back in early October. Incredible. Brownies are okay, but I prefer fudge.
I share your love of dark chocolate.
How interesting that you like Barbara Havers. I am never too sure about her. I am always waiting for her to get it together with Lynley but I don’t suppose they ever will. I am less keen on him.
I’m a cheese rather than chocolate person myself and champagne makes me sneeze!
I do rather like reading memes – such a good way to find out all those little things that make people seem more real!
Six random things about me.
1. I sleep in shifts. It’s been that way since I was in school. I sleep from about 11pm to 1am and then go back to sleep around 2:30am. Even if I’ve taken a sleeping pill, I’ll bolt upright at 2:30.
2. When I was a Catholic, I had to say five our fathers perfectly, every night because I was terrified not doing so would make God kill someone. If my mind wandered mid-prayer, I would start all over.
3. I once ate six pomegranates in one day.
4. My clearest, earliest childhood memory was tripping on the copper survey marker on Mt. Whitney. You’d have to ask my parents why they took a three year old on top of a 14,000+ mountain. I blame the pot.
5. I have no uterus and haven’t been pregnant for almost five years, but I can’t part with our crib. By the time my kids have kids, they’ll likely have declared that cribs made in the 90’s are death traps only crackheads would use, but I want to use it for our grandchildren.
6. We have an entire room in our house that is filled with craft supplies, educational materials for our little ones, and a better research library than most schools. I always feel like I have to defend it to my parents (which probably says more about them than me).
Pmomma: I made it to the top of Mount Whitney at age five. My memory is being real, real cold. It was August and it was snowing.
(((Billy))) – fudge is good too.
Philly – we have great taste.
Reluctant – I like the multifaceted nature of Barbara’s personality. She’s smart about her job, yet politically and socially inept. She’s crusty on the outside, but feels and loves deeply on the inside. Lynley is socially suave and smart, yet he handles close relationships poorly. He’s maddeningly snobbish sometimes, but he usually gets things right in the end.
And cheese is good too.
Pmomma – Interesting list. I can’t imagine eating six of anything in one day. Your house is filled with craft supplies, mine is filled with books, CDs and DVDs. We love reading, music and movies.
Ok, you got me.
Thanks for the tagging.
I will do it as soon as I feel a tiny bit more interesting.
Okay Chappy, here it is.
I dig you on the parmigiana and chocolate, anything chocolate.
You can keep the champaign though. I prefer a Port Liquer.
